Labor Day Weekend Bull Red Tournament

Starting Date and Time is Saturday, August 30th, 10 A.M.

Ending Monday, September 1st, 10 A.M.

Entry Fee: $65.00 ($50.00 goes in the pot)

Length will determine the winner, boundries will run the length of the Bolivar Peninsula. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

RULES:

1. Contestants not fishing from Rockys Fishing Pier must have a digital camera with a USB cable connection
2. Three (3) rod limit
3. This is a catch and release Tournament
4. Reds caught must be pictured with the contestant, the assigned number and the tape measure.
5. All contestants must register at Rockys Pier, you will recieve a measuring tape and number card

 Fishing Report & Photos

Fishing Conditions as Tuesday 9:00a.m. (8/26),  the water is green and calm right now with a light NE light wind, the mosquitoes are out in full force ~ pack the "deep woods OFF"~ I just came off the pier and the trout are popping in the water. We had several sand trout caught last night, and a few bull reds that got away!  

As for this past weekend ...... Just before 11p.m. last night Alan hooked a 5'6" black tip shark, the sad part of the story is it was on Silvers rod......... she left the end of the pier for just a bit and BAM! Around 3:30a.m. the trout moved in, Rocky and several others had a good time bringing in sand and speckled trout. THEN>>>>> just after 8a.m. we watched the beautiful blue waters roll in, sting ray were all around the pier, it was a blast watching them, hearing the trout pop and the reels scream. By the posting of this report we have had whiting, trout, gaftop, 5 black drum, 3 bull reds, 1 black tip 4''6' long and 3 small sharks caught.
